Jim is the President and Managing Attorney of the Law Office of Jim Morrison, P.C. which he founded in 2001. He worked as Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of Johnson & Johnson, P.C. from 1996 to 2001. Jim has over 15 years experience as a Consumer Bankruptcy attorney handling both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies. 20% of his practice is devoted to litigation.

Education: Jim received his JD (Juris Doctor) with Honors from Southern Methodist University Law, Dallas, TX, in 1988 and his BS (Bachelor of Science) in Sociology (minor in Political Science) with Honors from Missouri Southern State College, Joplin, MO, in 1985.

Bar Admissions: Jim was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1988, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas in 1989, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit in 1996.

Professional Associations: Jim is a member the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Tarrant County Debtors Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Association.
